Taletha the life coach
I was born and raised in Peoria, Illinois but was transient for much of my youth. Moving around gave me a unique opportunity to learn how to adapt to change while still maintaining a strong sense of self. After attending a different high school every year in different locations, including Barcelona, Spain, I finally moved to Austin, Texas to pursue my Bachelor’s degree. I graduated with a B.A in Liberal Arts at the University of Texas. Subsequently, my adult life has since been spent primarily in the partner dancing world. Shortly out of college, I moved to a rural mountain town in New Mexico and on a whim pursued partner dance training at an independent dance studio in Santa Fe. My experience there was quite humbling in more ways than one. I excelled in teaching but life took a pretty unexpected turn. My home was vandalized and arsoned leaving me and my partner at the time with essentially just the clothes on our backs and another new beginning. My journey brought me back to Austin, once again, which has always felt like a true home to me. I interviewed and landed a job at Go Dance Studio and continued pursuing my passion for dance and teaching. I dabbled in all styles of partner dancing but found my specialty in West Coast Swing. I have since spent the last 10 years traveling the world competing, performing and teaching. Over the years, I have observed and been fascinated by the many parallels between life and dance. I have found that through the conversation of dance one can learn so much about oneself and one’s partner. Dance can be a fantastic tool for growth, recovery and building self confidence and self awareness. More than anything I enjoy the relationships I have built with my clients and the opportunities that I have had to coach them in life and dance. Through a lot of hard work and visualization my dance career reached unexpected heights as I shot through the ranks to the highest level in my profession. I am now a respected competitor, judge and event director. With my 16 years of experience from the dance world and my life coach training I have created Clarity Coaching and Connected Living. Clarity is something we oftentimes do not have the luxury to find in the hussle and bussle of modern life. My desire is to help you on the path of what’s true for you so that you can enjoy life more completely. Being connected is an even bigger challenge in this day and age. Who has time to really be present when they are ordering their coffee from the barista? Who has the energy to smile at the person walking towards you in the hallway or on the street. Making space for and being present with others can be soul fuel that you are missing out on. My hope is to help you open your eyes to what is already right in front of you. Clarity Coaching and Connected Living embraces all of my passions to help people in the great dance of life. My services include Life Coaching for individuals and couples and the unique tool of Partner Dance Therapy as a means of enhancing your communication skills, intimacy and self confidence. I look forward to being a part of your journey.
